We began the Stellarmed Dentist in 2020 in a brand new medical centre – Stellarmed medical suites and birthing unit – in Ormonde. Dr Navlakhi has built a dental practice where you are treated professionally – but with a personal touch. The practice offers dental care for patients of all ages, whilst ensuring that all of your dental requirements are seen to in a warm and caring atmosphere.
We embrace technology because of the treatment benefits and the improved patient experience it provides. Our modern facility was designed specifically to meet the needs of a busy dental practice that continues to grow. The operatory is equipped with its own computer, air conditioning, intra oral xray as well as an extra oral xray machine. It has an in built sterilizing area.
For our patients, a tastefully appointed reception area provides a comfortable environment where you can relax prior to your appointment. Our patients often say that walking into our office is like walking into someone’s home – it is comfortable and inviting.

Doctors
About Our Doctor
DR F NAVLAKHI
Dr Fatima Navlakhi matriculated in 2003 at Lenasia Muslim School. She then immediately pursued her career in Dentistry. She qualified as a dentist at the University of Witwatersrand in 2008.
During her 5 years of dental education, she started attending to patients from her 3rd year. She then gained more experience in public practice based at Leratong Hospital in the West Rand. She was mentored and gained large experience in dental extractions and oral pathology during this time.
She also shadowed her brother, a dentist in private practice during this year, gaining insight into the operations and business management of private practice. In 2010 she worked under the supervision of her brother DR A Navlakhi in private practice gaining further experience – hands-on and perfecting and polishing her skills attained at university.
In 2011 she then took over The Rand Dentist and has been practising full time at the practice seeing to the needs of the community since.
Community service projects have also been done together with the Rand Clinic in the area.
Dr has thus been serving this community and practicing at this clinic full time from 2010 to date.
She has expanded her practice base in 2020 by opening another branch in Ormonde at the Lakewood dentist.
DR AHMAD NAVLAKHI
Owner and founder of The Garden City Dental Suites. Dr Navlakhi was schooled in Lenasia before attending the Dental School at Wits University in the late 90’s. During his time at University, he was Class Rep, won student awards and represented the Wits Dental faculty as Deputy Head of the Health Sciences Student Council based at the Medical School in Parktown
After graduating, he spent some time working at the Mpumalanga Standerton Hospital and gained valuable experience in clinical dentistry. For a brief period he bought and ran a dental practice in the East Rand before moving to the Garden City hospital.
From 2005 till 2011, Dr Navlakhi joined Wits University teaching staff as a part-time clinical supervisor for undergraduate students. During this time he ran the Dental Techniques course with Professor Sid Setzer and Dr Radikha Sindhu.
Dr A Navlakhi founded the Garden City Dental Suites in 2000, and has been practising at Netcare Garden City Hospital since 2001. Due to the demanding nature of private practice, Dr Navlakhi has now decided to focus on the growing practice at Netcare Garden City Hospital.
